Ok. I admit, since the grades were in I have been slacking. I even neglected my beloved blog. However, here is a quick recap of what happened since then.
More wake boarding and chilling by the pool, very nice trip to Bali, details below, and recovery from slacking to get back to the rhythm of the school. Adjusting back to the rhythm is the hardest part. Oh, also, now it is certain, I am going to Paris in the beginning of May. I still have to arrange for a place to stay and get/rent a car. I guess those will eventually happen.
About Bali. Very very very nice place. The local people are very nice and polite. Toooo many scooters on the road. Driving in Bali is a challenge. It is a bit like playstation games. Unfortunately, in real life there is no reset button :-) Not only they drive on the wrong side, but also there is no such thing as right-of-way. The person who gets there or who has the larger vehicle has the right.
On one of the days, we went to Ubud. A town in the middle of the island. There are monkey forests and temples for monks in Ubud. A friend of mine and I even got managed to be attacked by a monkey. Fortunately, we were quicker than it even with the hangover. I guess it was an old monkey.
On a different day, we went to a place called DreamLand at the tip of the island. Very nice place with a beach and nice waves for surfing. To my surprise the sun was not too hot. Did not get burnt.
At nite, it is very different. The life is very relaxed. There are many Aussie's spending their vacations there. I guess that has a big effect.
We also played a lot of darts before heading out for dinner while sipping our Margaritas. I learned this new game of darts called "Killer". Great game to play with 3 or more people. You can find the rules here: http://www.mostdartgames.com/killers.html
Anyway, now I am trying to adjust to real life. Got finals in 2 weeks :-( Maybe wake-boarding this weekend will cheer me up.
ciao
